Dr. Sigourney Weathers, PT, DPT

Sigourney is the owner and physical therapist at Balanced Creations Physical Therapy. She has 15 years of experience helping children of all ages reach their full potential. She is passionate about providing inclusive environments and opportunities for children. She finds that getting to know the family and child, working with their "village," and continually educating herself leads to amazing success stories.

Sigourney graduated from Texas Woman's University in 2012 with a Bachelor's in Kinesiology, Pre-PT, and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Woman's University, in 2017. After graduation, she completed her Rebound Therapy Practioner certification in 2018 and Tutor certification in 2019.

Sigourney has been a gymnastics instructor for 15 years. She specializes in developmental gymnastics, Rebound Therapy (trampoline/gymnastics for children with special needs), competitive Trampoline & Tumbling, and aerial silks.

She is a member of USAGymnastics which allows her to treat and teach clients in a safe accredited gymnastics facility where we always #SmileUpsideDown.

While working as a professional pediatric physical therapist, she noticed that there was a lack of community involvement and inclusion for her clients after discharge from care. Sigourney wanted to change this. In 2020 she started this goal by merging the two (PT and gymnastics) and starting Balanced Creations PT, PLLC. She discovered that merging the two would allow for a seamless transition from PT services to the carryover of functional recreational activities in the community.
